Searching Tips

Here are some search tips to help you find items:

Finding books can sometimes be a challenge especially for arabic books and for english books where you can't remember the title. The following simple tips can help you find books and media on mybookstore:

  1. Minimize the number of the words you are searching for. For example if you are searching for "Al Halal wal Haram fil Islam". Type "Halal" only.
  2. If searching for name of author, type the surname. This will make your search more accurate. For example, instead of 'Yusuf AlQaradawi'. Just type 'Qaradawi'.
  3. If searching for an Arabic book. We endevour to cater for the text in arabic, a translation and also a transliteration  where possible. We also endevour to enable searching for different spellings of the same word. However, you may need to try different spellings of the word to make your search is accurate. For instance, if you are searching for 'Qasas Al Anbiya' you may try stories or prophets to help you find the book.
  4. If you are sure of the catagory you are searching in, try to define the catagory to make your search precise. Bear in mind that you may miss on other items that way.
  5. Advanced search will also help you make a more precise search.
